Steph became a Passionate PA in 2021 after a thoroughly enjoyable and varied career. She wanted an avenue to bring together all her skills and experience and a franchise with The Passionate PA offered just that. As a business owner in her own right, with a solid support structure, Steph partners with ambitious business leaders to help them achieve better work-life flow and make a positive impact on their people.
Before becoming a business owner, Steph enjoyed a 20+ year career with Sainsbury’s, starting literally on the checkouts whilst at school. She developed a strong foundation in customer service, HR and change management.
She became an HR Assistant in 2005 whilst studying for a degree in Psychology and Computing, and her passion for people was ignited.
In 2009, Steph became an HR Manager with generalist responsibilities covering a wide range of HR expertise, including employee relations, recruitment, talent management, policy management, performance management, coaching, learning and development, and much more.
A real career highlight came four years later with a promotion to HR Project Manager. This role had a unique focus of driving business performance and KPIs through people-focused projects and engagement. Steph had the opportunity to work with highly skilled and influential senior HR and Operations Managers to design, lead and deliver people-focused projects and solutions. This allowed her to build knowledge and business acumen as well as deliver project success that focussed on business strategy, KPIs and people targets. These are all skills she brings to her role as a Passionate PA daily!
Steph’s last employed role was as a Change Manager for Sainsbury’s. For three years, she worked tirelessly to help move the business through a period of large-scale transformation. Through her work on the end-to-end design, delivery and management of a wide variety of projects in partnership with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, Steph built a reputation as a credible and trusted advisor.
All of this incredible experience has moulded Steph into a super business-focused professional dedicated to doing what’s right for the people within an organisation.
Steph’s ideal clients are heart-centred, people-focused businesses such as coaches, consultants and small to medium-sized enterprises in sectors that include coaching, learning and development, healthcare, education, non-profits and social enterprises. She is passionate about supporting clients who are open to change and value streamlined processes that improve efficiency and work-life balance.
When Steph isn’t building a career to be proud of, she can be found enjoying family life with her husband and son – often outdoors appreciating the beauty of the Dorset coastline. Steph also loves interior design, getting creative and a good gin!
